Fundraising

We are starting our yearly fundraising drive for winter and summer camp 2009!

For the past five years through the generous support of donations, the CARE Centre has been able to provide summer and winter respite programs: a 5-day winter camping expedition to an adapted cabin near Chertsey, QC, and a 3-week summer camp experience through Camp Papillon. Our major goal is to enrich the lives of adults with severe physical disabilities in the Montreal area by focusing on learning, recreation & socialization – within our client community, and within the wider community.  We achieve this by providing knowledgeable, familiar staff during the summer months and winter break when many of our clients have limited support. We give our clients the opportunity to continue their educational goals: communication, social skills, etc… in an environment where they are encouraged and supported to build new relationships and push their own boundaries.  We provide respite to caregiver family members, allowing them the rest they require in order to continue their full-time care throughout the year of our adult clients. Without the generous support of our donors this would not be possible. Please check out the pictures of past years at camp found on our website.

There are many ways to donate to the CARE summer or winter respite programs. For more information please contact us.
