Hello wonderful friends and volunteers!

Thank you to everyone who came out and lent a hand this past month. We had some good fun, and we couldn't have done it without you.

Here is this month's calendar:

Tuesday, February 10 - Dollar Cinema - 6900 Boul. Decarie

Half of the group will be spending the day at Decarie Square relaxing and taking in a film at Dollar Cinema. We will be there from 10am to about 3:30pm, and the film is at 12:00, so come on by and take in a winter matinee!

Dollar Cinema at Decarie Square is a 6 minute walk from the Namur metro station and can be reached via the 17, 160, 161, and 166 bus routes.

Wednesday, February 11 - Bibliotheque Nationale - 475 De Maisonneuve Est.

Again half of our group are will be spending the day experiencing new books, music and film. The library opens at 10am and we will be there until 3:30. If you come on by you can't miss us.

the Bibliotheque is accessible from Beri-UQAM metro.

Thursday, February 19 - Cheese Festival - Complexe Desjardins

This year as part of the Festival of Lights cheese makers from all over Quebec will be gathering at Complexe Desjardins to show off their yummy treats! We will be there from 9:30am to 3:00pm, and will be talking to local producers and tasting cheese all day!

Complexe Desjardins is directly across Ste. Catherine St. from the Place des Arts.

Tuesday, February 24 - Butterflies! - Jardin Botanique

The butterflies are back at Jardin Botanique! Each year we explore the breathtaking butterfly exhibit and spend our day wandering the greenhouses. Apparently there are two new greenhouses, so come on down and check them out. We will be heading in to see the butterflies around 10:00, and bus pickup is at 3:00.

Thursday, February 26 - Swimming - LaSalle Aquadome

Swimming again! After two months of snowed out swim days we are crossing our fingers that the weather stays clear and we can splash our way through another swimming trip. We badly need volunteers for swimming, so grab a suit and towell and come on down. Pizza lunch is on us!

You can get to the Aquadome by taking bus 113 west from Metro Angrignon for about five minutes. Get off immediately after you pass a giant CEGEP.

And that's February for us. Come on out and I guarantee some smiles, we love our visitors!
